The city is dressed for autumn

You can walk through the streets of Gorizia in a rush to reach your place of work, to run errands or to meet friends in the bars of the city. You tend to run en masse, engaged in the many chores of everyday life. But when you accidentally raise your eyes to the sky, you are kidnapped by the warm colours of the season of “decadence”, which is autumn.
The colours of the warm autumn foliage that nature gives us convey a sort of rebirth. The streets are covered with a lively natural cloak, and the trees shine with bright colours while the frost sparkles, preparing the parks to undress and allow winter to manifest its seasonal shift. The midges fly over in small swarms, recalling to our senses the scent of the must of the wines, which from the fertile Collio Goriziano, the vineyards of fine grapes contribute to the vast heritage of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The city’s parks extend through the streets of the centre, forming a corridor of bright colours as if they wanted to compose a hymn to beauty. This is the magic of autumn, the city that becomes one with the parks that dominate it, transforming the centre into a fascinating temporary garden.
