By bicycle through the countryside between Udine and Cividale del Friuli, a city included in the UNESCO World Heritage for its Roman, Lombard, and early medieval remains.
Route
Leaving Udine behind, the route starts towards Povoletto and passes through Grions del Torre. You pedal up to Cividale del Friuli, whose historic center has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you can visit the architectural jewels and the timeless charm of the squares and monuments. The journey offers an authentic perspective of the Friulian countryside, with enchanting landscapes accompanying cyclists. You proceed towards Pradamano and return to Udine following part of the FVG1.
Food & wine
Not only breathtaking panoramas but also gastronomic treasures to discover. The Potatoes of Godia, grown on slightly acidic and iron-rich soils, are the protagonists of the Godia Potato Festival every late August. In addition, continuing towards Cividale, the eyes rest on vineyards and olive groves. Several farms offer guided tastings, with special mention for the single-varietal Bianchera.
