The route traverses the countryside between Udine and Cividale del Friuli, a city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Roman, Lombard and early medieval remains.
Food & wine
Not only breathtaking views but also food and wine treasures to discover. Godia potatoes , grown on slightly acidic, iron-rich soils, are the stars of the Godia Potato Festival every late August. Also, as you continue toward Cividale, your eyes rest on vineyards and olive trees. Several farms offer guided tastings, with special mention for the Bianchera monovarietal.
