Budoia

The municipality of Budoia comprises the hamlets of Dardago, Santa Lucia and Val de Croda.

The antiqueness of the settlement is certified by the finds of the Valley of San Tomè: bone, stone, ceramic, numismatic finds, from the Neolithic Age to the Bronze and Iron Ages, to the Roman and Lombard Ages; a large settlement was created in the past in a logical way in the recess of a gorge that today attracts, besides archaeologists, geologists and mountaineers (rock climbing).

The small church of San Tomè, which still preserves an extremely charming atmosphere, was built there in very ancient times.

Budoia is also recommended, as well as for the annual mushroom festival (mid-September), accompanied by important cultural initiatives, for the courses of study on officinal and aromatic herbs and for many examples of "spontaneous architecture" of the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, high-class as well, where - with remarkable handicraft skills - the stone worked by local stonecutters was used.
