Starting from the 2025/2026 winter season, pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 96 of 30 June 2025, it is mandatory, regardless of age, to wear a compliant protective helmet when practicing alpine skiing, snowboarding, telemark skiing, sledding, and tobogganing. The person responsible for the violation is subject to an administrative fine ranging from €100.00 to €150.00. In the event of repeated violations, in addition to the administrative fine, the access pass to the ski lifts shall also be withdrawn or suspended for a period of one to three days.
According to Legislative Decree No. 40/2021, anyone using alpine ski slopes: must have a valid insurance policy covering their civil liability for damages or injuries caused to third parties;
is prohibited from skiing while intoxicated or under the influence of toxic substances.
