The idyllic basin of Lake Avostanis, which lies within the area of the Pramosio Forest, is closed to the north by a very solid limestone wall, finely chiselled by karst phenomena, about a hundred meters high and almost 300 meters wide. The first mountaineering itineraries date back to the 80s while the first sports routes were equipped for the 1989 edition of the freeclimbing event Arrampicarnia. Over the years, the equipment of new routes has continued non-stop and today on the main wall there are over 100 routes with difficulty from 4 to 8b. Given the high altitude the cliff can be climbed from late spring to the first days of autumn. On sunny summer days it is advisable to climb early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Because of its hight the temperature might also be low in summer.
Access

Continue on foot (or by e-bike) for about 3 km, along trail CAI 402, up to Lake Avostanis and the refuge of Casera Pramosio at an altitude of 1940m, dominated to the north by the cliff (1h 15’ uphill; 1h return).
