Duties and Obligations of Users of the Dog Area
The owner/handler may access the dog area with their dog, provided this occurs under constant supervision and full, continuous, and absolute control of the animal.
Only dogs that are duly vaccinated, regularly registered in the canine registry of their region of residence, and therefore microchipped, may enter.
Owners/handlers are not allowed to enter with dogs that have previously attacked or bitten people or animals, or that have otherwise proven to be aggressive or dangerous.
To avoid potential conflicts that cannot be safely managed, each handler must evaluate whether to enter and remain in the area with their dog, considering the behavior of other animals present.
The handler must always carry a muzzle and leash and intervene if necessary, bearing in mind that they are always responsible for the animal’s welfare, control, and conduct, and are civilly and criminally liable for any damages or injuries to people, animals, or property caused by the animal.
Owners/handlers may let their dogs run free in the municipal dog area as long as no behavioral incompatibilities arise.
To ensure hygiene and cleanliness of the dog area, owners/handlers must carry suitable equipment to collect their dog’s droppings and dispose of them in the designated containers provided in the area.
Owners/handlers are required to always close the access gate.
For safety reasons, access to the area is strictly reserved to the owner/handler and their dog.
All behavior must be based on respect for animals and people present.
A maximum of 5 (five) dogs may be in the area at the same time; if there are already 5 (five) dogs inside and others are waiting outside, each dog’s stay must not exceed 30 minutes.
Minors under 16 may enter the area only if accompanied by their parents and only if their own dog is present.
Persons over 16 may bring their dog without being accompanied by their parents, even if other dogs not belonging to them are in the area.
