A bike ride to explore the nature and villages of Val Resia, located in the shadow of the Monte Canin massif in the heart of the Julian Prealps Nature Park.
This challenging bike ride will allow you to discover the natural landscapes and villages of Val Resia. The route begins on the Alpe Adria bike path in the village of Resiutta. Part of the route runs alongside the Resia Stream, which forms a small beach in the village of Povici—a perfect spot to relax just a few steps from its refreshing waters. Along the way, you can stop at scenic overlooks, discover elements of the local cultural heritage, and marvel at the extraordinary biodiversity of this area. Once you reach Tigo, and after riding a short stretch along a low-traffic provincial road, you’ll climb toward the villages of San Giorgio and Prato, where the Julian Prealps Park Visitor Center is located. To return, simply follow the same route. Recommended route for e-bikes.
Detour along the Tarvisio-Venzone section of the Alpe Adria Bike Trail. Due to the closure of the Tigo Bridge, you must reach Resia via the low-traffic mixed-use road.
