The Pramaggiore massif can be considered the most representative of the Friulian Dolomites Park as it is located at the center of the easternmost Dolomite area.
From the location Ciol de Pess (just downhill from Rifugio Pussa, reachable from the village of Claut along Val Settimana road) the route starts by following the path carved into the siliceous limestones that climbs through the Costa da Nada woods until, near the Casera Col de Post (shelter), it briefly descends to cross the homonymous stream and then resumes climbing decisively through the woods of the Vitha de Pramaòr. Once you reach the Casera Pramaggiore (open shelter, wide panorama southwards over the imposing Caserine - Cornaget peaks), it continues climbing the pasture (i Pianòns) that soon becomes a steep alpine meadow frequented by chamois, marmots and ibex, until reaching the airy Forcella Pramaggiore. From the saddle you can quickly reach the summit of Monte Pramaggiore, following the steep scree slopes and the rock ledges above (difficulty I° UIAA).
