Villa Vicentini Miniussi
The Villa Vicentini is locally known with the name of Villa Miniussi as well, because the homonymous family was linked both to its history and to its property. The villa was erected in Neoclassical style by Giacomo Vicentini after 1829. Today we also find a beautiful garden, much evidence of which is not available, but people think it was an Italian-style garden. Of remarkable architectural and artistic interest are the frescoes, the façade with its central colonnade and the octagonal cellar with niches and decorative cornices. The latter was built under the garden and is accessed through an underground passage from the central body.
Today, the structure houses the Consorzio Culturale del Monfalconese (CCM - Cultural Consortium for the area of Monfalcone), the archives of memory, a specialized library, the Centro Sistema Bibliotecario (Library System Centre) office, the historical photo library and the editorial office of the magazine "Il Territorio". It hosts conferences, editorial presentations, meetings with writers, photo and documentary exhibitions and other cultural events.
