San Vito al Torre
San Vito al Torre was probably part of some Roman garrison depending on Aquileia.
San Vito was donated by Otto II to the Patriarchate of Aquileia, to which it remained until 1526, year in which it passed under the Austrian rule within the county of Gorizia, and in 1923 it became part of the province of Udine.
The parish churches of Crauglio (Crauì in Friulian), Nogaredo al Torre (Naiarêt) and San Vito date back to the eighteenth century. Particularly interesting are two Venetian-style villas: Villa Maniago in Nogaredo, dating back to 1755, and Villa Steffaneo in Crauglio, dating back to 1640, very large and rich in frescoes, most of which were probably painted around 1770 and of Venetian inspiration, in particular as far as architectural views are concerned.
