Meduno
The municipality of Meduno comprises the hamlet of Navarons and the villages of Avon, Ciago, Cilia, Costa, Del Bianco, Mizzeri, Pitagora, Romanis, San Martino, Sottomonte and Valle.
The access gate to the Meduna or Tramontina Valley, the Castrum Meduni (ruins) was built in the 11th and 12th centuries in a strategically important area.
Of great importance are some finds of the pre-Roman and Roman age found in the hamlet of Ciago, above all tombs and tiles.
Among the local events we would like to mention the festival of the products of local zootechny (cheeses and cold meats) on the last Sunday of September.
As far as nature hikes are concerned, we suggest the Meduna Valley, through the Muiè Valley towards the Còlvera Valley to reach the Forchia piccola (col) of Meduno (657 metres); from here the road continues towards Campone di Tramonti and Malga Valinis, from which you will reach the top of Mount Valinis, at 1102 metres of height, where you will enjoy a wonderful view.
