Buja
Buja, an ancient town of Friuli Collinare (226 metres a.s.l.) immersed in a wonderful landscape setting, can boast some of the greatest engravers of the last century: Pietro Giampaoli and Guerrino Mattia Monassi from Buia, in fact, were at the head of the Italian State Mint.
In the charming borough of San Lorenzo, in Monte di Buja, you can admire the collection of art medals of the Museum of Medal Art and of the Town of Buja and understand how they are made thanks to a dedicated educational exhibition.
In the locality of "Monte", situated on Buja's highest hill, you will also find the very ancient St. Lawrence Parish Church and the ruins of a castle, as well as the Parco della Rimembranza (Memorial Park), a place characterised by nature but also by respect and memory.
