Stage rich in historical evidence and strong symbolic value that leads the hiker to pass from the Isonzo front never crossed by the Italians to the Austro-Hungarian defensive lines.
A walk along the Slovenian border, immersed in the beauties of the karst environment that allows tourists and hikers to clearly see the remains of what was the border line of the Isonzo front. This front line, despite numerous attempts, was never crossed by Italian troops during the entire period of the First World War. Important points such as Monte Ermada/Grmada and Monte Cocco/Piciganšče also open up on the current Italian territory a wide glimpse of what were the Austro-Hungarian defensive structures for the city of Trieste/Trst, as well as a breathtaking view that almost entirely embraces this part of the territory stretching from the plain to the sea.
