Tourism consortia Lignano Holiday
The Lignano Holiday Consortium is one of the nine consortia recognised by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and is the largest in terms of accommodation capacity. It includes around one hundred hotels of all categories, 19 tourist real estate agencies offering a selection of over 3,000 apartments, residences and villas, 2 campsites and a holiday village.
Its activities are carried out in the area of Lignano Sabbiadoro, a peninsula stretching between the Adriatic Sea, the Tagliamento River and the Marano Lagoon. Facing south-east and bathed in sunshine throughout the day, it boasts 8 km of sandy beach and shallow waters, making it ideal for family holidays, with the possibility of practising all kinds of water sports. There is virtually no sport that cannot be practised in Lignano: from golf to tennis, from cycling to beach volleyball, from swimming to parasailing, from judo to basketball and athletics. The offer is further enriched by 6 theme parks. For many years, the resort has been awarded the Blue Flag, a mark of attention to cleanliness and quality, not only of the water but of the entire tourism system.
The consortium mainly focuses on promoting and marketing the tourism products of its members, paying particular attention to guests and their needs. For this quality, it has been awarded the “Service Q Deutschland” certification, as have many of its members.
The consortium’s activities are aimed both at individual customers and at relationships with travel agencies, Italian and international tour operators, as well as company welfare organisations (CRAL), associations, municipalities, schools, etc. It also participates in trade fairs, workshops and events organised in locations considered strategic for our tourism offer.
There is also ongoing collaboration with other consortia in the area and with regional local authorities for the organisation of events such as Sea Sun Flowers and the Moda Show, which aim primarily to extend the tourist season as well as to offer an increasing number of events to our guests during the high season.
