By forest roads, following the signs and trail marker 403, after passing the Kersnitzen Alm, you descend to the long plateau of the Egger Alm, which you cross (always keeping in an easterly direction) on the convenient asphalt road. After crossing the lake and reaching the Dellacher Alm, turn right and follow the road uphill to the Poludnig Alm. Around elevation 1490m a path descends to the left through rather lush vegetation. The trail descends to the creek bed and climbs back up through woods gaining a forest track (go left). After another stream crossing it is possible to take the path to the right that climbs into the woods (403) and reaches the Gortschacher Alm. Continuing further, in an obvious manner, you reach the ridge of Sagran Mountain. Just over the wide shoulder the markers guide you to descend more rapidly (there is also a forest road - unnecessarily longer trail) to the Dolinza Alm. At the quaint alpine village, following the dirt road to the right, you return to Italy reaching, in short order, the Nordio-Deffar hut.
