From Casera Pramosio at 1521 m, climb a small road that is cemented in places (CAI marker 402) until just south of the Promosio Pass. At a signaled fork, turn right and, having crossed the pass at 1800 m, enter Austria. Just below the pass you join the 403 marker of the Karniscer Höhenweg, which you follow to the right, descending until it connects, at an elevation of 1400 m, with the road coming from the Untere Bischof Alm. Follow the road uphill to reach the Obere Bischof Alm and from here continue to the Zollner Hütte at 1738 m. Still following trail 403 of the Karnischer Höhenweg, you reach the Zollner See and cut across the entire northern slope of Mount Lodin at altitude. Past a wide creek, you cross the direct road to the Waidegger Alm and continue downhill along trail 403 to the Straniger Alm located at 1501 m. You then take the direct road to the Meledis Pass and just before reaching the pass take the direct road to Kleinkordinalm on the left. At a ridge you leave the road and follow trail 403 to Sella Cordin at 1749 m. Cross the border and descend shortly to Casera Cordin grande near which you take CAI path 451, which, at first almost at altitude and then with a steep downhill section, leads to the paved roadway of Passo del Cason di Lanza. Follow the road uphill and you will soon reach the pass and the Casera Cason di Lanza farmhouse at 1552 m.
