The route called “Litorale Isontino” develops between the Municipalities of Monfalcone and Staranzano.
It starts from the locality Riva Lunga of Staranzano, included in the area of the Natural Reserve of the Isonzo River Mouth. The route then passes through Marina Julia, overlooking the Gulf of Panzano, between the port of Monfalcone and the mouth of the Isonzo.
The route ends at Marina Nova, specifically at the Isola dei Bagni, an artificial islet south of the Panzano district, connected to the mainland by an embankment. The trail has a natural surface, more or less compact, mainly grassy with some gravel sections. Several stretches have rest areas equipped with benches and tables, both along the route and in the immediate vicinity. There are also refreshment points on the beach with attached restrooms, including facilities for people with disabilities, easily accessible. Finally, this route connects to a pedestrian loop on the circuit of via dei Bagni Nuova – via del Brancolo – via delle Giarrette – Marina Julia, for an additional development of 2.5 km. The route develops on flat areas, making it suitable for all types of users.
