Erto - sector No Big

The cliff of Erto is known internationally and its overhangs are crossed by extremely difficult routes, for expert climbers only. The first to understand the potential of this overhanging orange wall, which overlooks the Vajont Dam, was Mauro Corona, climber, sculptor, writer and guest of TV talk shows. The most challenging routes of the main wall were made by the group "Boys of the Erto Zoo" and repeated by the elite of international climbing. To the right of the large overhangs of the central sector there is another series of cliffs, known as "No big area", which offer a wide choice of routes of low and medium difficulty, many of which are also suitable for beginners.
Access
From Barcis we follow the regional road 251 of Val Cellina up to Cimolais and, after crossing the Sant'Osvaldopass, we descend to Erto and continue in the direction of Longarone until we see the cliff, just a couple of meters from the road. It is better to leave the car in the first large car park on the left and cross the road to reach the "No big area" (27,5 km from Barcis). Alternatively, from Longarone you can follow the regional road 251 to the Vajont dam and continue uphill to the parking lot (8 km from Longarone).
