MIB Trieste School of Management

The MIB Trieste School of Management location is in one of the most prestigious historical buildings in Trieste. Palazzo Ferdinandeo, nestled in the Farneto woods, was built in 1858, designed by the Berlin architect Friedrich Hitzig in honour of Emperor Ferdinand I of Austria.
In 1997, renovations were undertaken by the MIB Consortium. They were completed in 1999, the year in which the location was officially inaugurated.

The prestigious imperial environments have been thoroughly renovated and set up to accommodate various classrooms (from 15 to 60 seats), a library, reading rooms, a café bar, a self-service restaurant, offices, and a 200-seat conference room. The best social & learning technologies have also been installed, including full Wi-Fi coverage, various e-Learning and Hybrid learning platforms (simultaneous in-person and online lesson), simultaneous translation systems, an internal video streaming system, connection to the fibre optic GARR network and a media room equipped for audio and video recordings.

Ferdinandeo's best feature is the Great Habsburg Salon, historically intended for imperial parties and banquets. It is decorated with colonnades, apses and galleries. It has been transformed into a perfectly equipped conference room, thanks also to Assicurazioni Generali's contribution. The decorative elements, stuccoes, wooden floors and coffered ceiling have been kept intact, and at the same time, all the most modern conference technologies have been added.

In 2010, the new pavilion was inaugurated, next to the 19th-century building. It houses two conference rooms of 50 and 60 places and a large multifunctional room. The building is very modern in appearance and the technologies used. The materials have a low environmental impact and are "class A" in terms of energy efficiency. The construction has an essential profile, extensively glazed and covered with wood veneer, perfectly integrated with the surrounding park. Facilities such as parking, classrooms, catering, and a garden complete the offer, all at a more than reasonable cost.
