Marina Julia windspot: the perfect location for year-round windsurfing and kitesurfing
It is described as “one of the best spots in the Northern Adriatic”. The windspot at Marina Julia attracts wind sports enthusiasts all year round, who come here to enjoy kitesurfing, hydrofoil surfing and windsurfing on the waves.
One of the things that make this spot so attractive is bora, a constantly blowing, side-on wind which guarantees maximum safety to the training sportspeople. The shallow water, which is particularly flat on the western side, is an ideal environment for beginners or for people who are practicing new tricks. On the eastern side the seafloor descends steeply, providing perfect conditions for hydrofoil surfing.
To complete the picture there is the spacious take-off and landing area made out of gravel and grass, the bars and eateries to be found along the shoreline and the sports clubs that offer lessons to anyone keen to experience the adrenalin rush of riding the waves propelled by the wind, and an excellent equipment rental service.
