If you do not hold an Italian fishing licence or a licence issued by an Italian region other than Friuli Venezia Giulia and you have not passed an assessment exam or attended a specific training course, you must pay a fee (the daily fishing permit). Payment of this fee entitles the holder to fish on any day of the year up to a maximum of 16 days per year: 6 of these days must be dedicated to catch-and-release fishing.
