Al Gallo

Al Gallo
Welcome to a truly historic spot, open since 1850. It was once the first tavern encountered after crossing the Noncello bridge, when entering Pordenone via the Porta Furlana. Its location is unparalleled, nestled between the Cathedral and the Town Hall, and adjacent to the former studio of ‘Il Pordenone’, which the artist himself, who lived between 1484 and 1539, adorned with frescoes.
Featuring wood, lilac-coloured plasterwork and stained-glass windows in a Central European style, the interior welcomes guests into a warm atmosphere dominated by a traditional fireplace.
Since 2009, the Al Gallo has been run by Andrea Spina and his wife Diletta, who greet guests with warmth and an eye for detail. The wine cellar offers an extensive selection, mainly focusing on wines from Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, alongside labels from other regions.
