Itinerary
The route runs along the former railway line, now converted into a cycle path. Starting from Udine train station, the journey begins along city streets with integrated cycle paths and leads to the picturesque village of Chiavris. Crossing the outskirts of Udine and Colugna, the route extends to Ceresetto and Martignacco. From Martignacco, the cycle path follows the original railway track to Ciconicco di Fagagna. Then it heads towards a new cycle path that goes from S. Giovanni in Colle to Rive d’Arcano, where a steam locomotive bears witness to the railway era. Arriving near Giavons, San Daniele is now within view. A short but scenic climb leads to the historic center of San Daniele.
