    Route

This loop starts from the Renaissance beauty of the mosaic city, Spilimbergo, with its charming village and castle, then opens up to the harsh natural beauty of the Magredi of Meduna and Cellina, areas made up of large pebbles, gravel, sand, and little soil. The route passes through Provesano, where it is possible to visit the Church of San Leonardo, to Rauscedo, a center of excellence for viticulture thanks to the Cooperative Nurseries. Finally, the circular route returns to Spilimbergo, closing its loop.

    Food & wine

In Rauscedo, 60% of national vine cuttings are produced with careful and traceable production chain management, which has satisfied much of the wine market for years, especially for Pinot Grigio, Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, and Prosecco wines. RECOMMENDED DISH: Guinea fowl and polenta.

    Author’s recommendation

In Rauscedo, there is the largest nursery and viticulture complex in the world. It is the Vivai Cooperativi di Rauscedo (VCR).
