An alternative ride to a day at the beach between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto, for those on holiday in the seaside resorts of Bibione or Lignano Sabbiadoro
The route connects the regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto and consists of two paths along the Tagliamento river linking the town of Latisana with Lignano Sabbiadoro (left bank) or Bibione (right bank). From April to November the bike+boat service is active, connecting Lignano Sabbiadoro with Bibione near the mouth of the Tagliamento river, called the king of European Alpine rivers. The entire loop is a trip with remarkable natural and landscape features: it is easy to spot various species of water birds on the river and in the surrounding countryside. Interesting detours include the Isola dei Picchi and the center of Latisana with its Venetian features. Here you can rest your legs in one of the many establishments in the historic center. In winter, it is possible to cross from one bank to the other via the Bevazzana bridge.
