A cycle cultural route revolving around Casarsa della Delizia, the place where Pierpaolo Pasolini's first literary and artistic experiences blossomed.
The bicycle route allows you to touch almost all the places where Pasolini lived and wrote: his birthplace in Casarsa, now the seat of the Pasolini Study Center (where it is possible to request a specialized guide), and the church of Santa Croce, where the 1499 engraving is kept that inspired the Friulian play “I Turcs tal Friûl”. After the church, you reach the Casarsa cemetery where his tomb is located next to that of his mother. The route continues towards Versuta, where the frescoed church of Sant'Antonio Abate is located; near the church, you can see the famous fountain sung in one of his poems in Friulian. San Giovanni di Casarsa is the meeting place for Friulian intellectuals belonging to the “Academiuta di lenga furlana” and under the town loggia Pasolini used to post political posters. This itinerary is deliberately short to allow those who want to learn about this great intellectual to stop, see, learn, and better understand his work and cultural commitment.
