The cycling route winds through the plain between Ospedaletto di Gemona, Osoppo, and the hills of Buja, along secondary roads with low traffic.
The route starts from Artegna to reach, along the ancient Roman road, the medieval center of Gemona del Friuli. During the route you pass Osoppo, with the fort overlooking the Tagliamento River. The hill is reachable by bicycle via a challenging climb. Leaving the village you enter the magical spring area of Bars, a protected natural area characterized by crystal-clear waters and a rich bloom of orchids in spring. Proceed towards Buja crossing its picturesque villages featuring water canals such as the Ledra, on whose banks are ancient mills and washhouses. Leaving Buja, continue towards Artegna along the plain.
