A route with two faces: the summer one with the return by boat through the lagoon, and the other seasons one among nature reserves and the colors of the countryside.
The loop starts in Lignano Sabbiadoro. In the summer months, you can load your bike onto the boat and reach Marano Lagunare, admiring the numerous birds living in the lagoon. In the ancient fishing village, the Millennium Tower dominates. Interesting are the Archaeological Museum of the Lagoon and the Valle Canal Novo Nature Reserve. From here, you start pedaling in the Lower Friulian Plain, among primeval woods immersed in one of the most prized natural areas of all Friuli Venezia Giulia. Along the route, you encounter the village of Precenicco, crossed by the Stella River, the region's most important spring water course. This river, together with the Marano Lagoon, accompanies you on the return to Lignano Sabbiadoro. During the route, you pass through various agricultural lands often cultivated with vines. After passing Precenicco, you pedal along the embankment of the Sella River until you return to Lignano Sabbiadoro.
The LIGNANO SABBIADORO - MARANO LAGUNARE route becomes a loop path during the summer months, when the BIKE + BOAT service is active.
