Get on your bike and start the challenge. From the highest mountain in Austria to the sea of Grado, a 328 kilometer route that retraces the path of the Fuga 300 event.
Start from Grossglockner (Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe), the highest mountain in Austria at 2369 m above sea level. Descend and pass Heiligenblut, one of the most beautiful villages in the entire Alpine region. Cross the entire valley to Winklern where you will see the ancient medieval tower, symbol of the town center. Cross much of Carinthia and arrive at Villach, an important center before crossing the Italy-Austria border and entering Friuli Venezia Giulia. Welcomed by the city of Tarvisio, the cyclist crosses Lake Raibl to Sella Nevea and through the Raccolana Valley descends to Chiusaforte. Pass through the towns of Moggio Udinese, Venzone and Gemona del Friuli until you reach the ducal city of Cividale del Friuli. Through the hills you get to Cormons, a city famous for wine. From here the route becomes flat, reaching Aquileia, an ancient Roman city and UNESCO World Heritage site, before arriving at Grado along the scenic lagoon road.
