Route:
The route starts from Sacile and continues towards Caneva where you can admire the medieval Castle. Before reaching Polcenigo, turn left to go towards the stunning La Santissima spring. Continue and pedal towards Polcenigo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. This territory, rich in springs and waterways, is regenerative for the body and mind. Along the route, it's also worth visiting the Palù di Livenza pile-dwelling site, declared a UNESCO heritage site and now enjoyable from a naturalistic point of view. The loop ends with the return to Sacile.
Food & wine:
Caneva is the home of Figo Moro, the fig that requires no treatment and is eaten with the skin! For a refreshment, we recommend a stop at one of the wineries along the route, where you can taste the wines of Friuli Grave DOC such as the red Refosco dal peduncolo rosso or the white Friulano.
RECOMMENDED DISH: Smoked goose prosciutto
Near Polcenigo, you can have a picnic in the nearby San Floriano Park.
