A ride that allows you to enter the territory of the Magredi, a vast protected natural area immersed in the landscape of the western Friulian plain.
The Magredi is a large area of the Friulian plain whose soil consists of large pebbles, gravel, sand, and little earth. While over many centuries much of the Magredi areas have been cultivated, the vast triangular portion between the Cellina and Meduna streams has remained partly as the first people who inhabited Friuli after the last glaciation found it: a kind of whitish heathland with little grass and some shrubs. This almost lunar landscape has an unexpected naturalness and an intense charm, similar to what you feel when looking at the sea or a lake. The wide horizons that can be enjoyed crossing this territory are unique spectacles and getting to know the nature of a seemingly arid and desolate land is an experience to try at least once.

Route on mixed roads with low traffic.
The loop offers exactly a route that also allows entrance into the heart of the Magredi, perhaps accompanied by a guide, riding with a MTB or E-MTB on stony but passable roads. The core of this area includes the Municipalities of Montereale Valcellina, Vivaro, Arba, and Maniago.
Maniago is accessible daily by Train+Bike on the Sacile/Maniago line.
Highway A28 - exit at Cimpello. At the roundabout, continue north towards Sequals. Follow the dual carriageway in the direction of travel until you reach the junction with the SR 177 expressway, always staying towards Sequals. Follow the entire SR 177 until the roundabout intersecting with SR 464 near the mentioned town. Continue towards Maniago, always staying on the regional road. Upon arriving in Maniago, cross the bridge over the Colvera river and continue straight along via Unità d’Italia on a slight uphill. At the end of the climb, on the left is Via Stazione: turn and continue briefly to the railway station.
