Starting from Venzone, you cross the Tagliamento River and cycle along the old military road. Near Cavazzo Carnico, you descend to Lake Cavazzo—also known as Lake of the Three Municipalities—the largest natural body of water in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, where you can take a break at the designated picnic areas. Continue on to Alesso and Braulins until you reach Bordano, the famous “village of butterflies,” from where you return to Venzone.
