Artisans forging blades, ancient apples and red onions seem like the ingredients for a perfect medieval tale. With children on their bikes, you safely reach Cavasso Nuovo, passing over bridges, streams, and wonderful woods.
The route starts from Maniago, a historic center famous for over a thousand years for the production of blades and knives at the foot of the Pordenone Pedemontana. After an initial stretch of ups and downs, it is possible to leave Maniago behind and enter Fanna, a small town also known as the Village of Ancient Apples. With the Friulian Dolomites as a backdrop, the destination is soon reached: Cavasso Nuovo. Return to the starting point by the same route or with the Bicibus in the summer months.
