    Route:

From Grado you cycle along the city cycle path eastwards until you reach the district of Primero. This area is characterized by the lagoon landscape while the bell tower of the Sanctuary of Barbana stands out among the surrounding islets. At Fossalon di Grado, the route crosses the "Valle Cavanata" nature reserve, then you cycle to reach Punta Sdobba, a small fishing village where the view opens onto the Gulf of Trieste. Continue through the countryside of Fiumicello until you reach Aquileia. From here you return to Grado along the cycle route.

    Food & wine

The sandy soil of the Fossalon di Grado area is the ideal place for cultivating white asparagus. Every year in April, the Fossalon asparagus festival is held. Fiumicello is famous for its peaches, in fact every year the highly anticipated regional peach exhibition is held here. TYPICAL DISH: Risotto with asparagus and piarsolada (peaches macerated with wine).

During the summer season, it is possible to travel part of the ring from GRADO or AQUILEIA by ferry. For more information: https://www.aptgorizia.it/servizio-marittimo/
