At the top of Monte Stella (Via Crucis)

The circular route, between the hills and the Friulian Prealps, takes about 2 hours to complete, covering 7.3 km with an elevation gain of approximately 200 meters.
From Tarcento, follow the Torre River until you reach Zomeais, from where you can also visit the Crosis Waterfalls.
The trail starts heading north; a steep and short ascent leads to the hamlet of Malemaseria, which offers the first panoramic viewpoint. Continuing, you reach the houses on the outskirts of Stella, where you find a second panoramic viewpoint. Proceeding along the ridge, you reach the first summit cross and the third panoramic viewpoint; the top of Monte Stella is a few meters higher: beyond the pile of stones you reach the second summit cross, that of Monte Oussa, from where you can enjoy the view from the fourth panoramic point, with the plain on one side and the first row of mountains with their tiny villages on the other.
In the center of the hamlet of Stella, you can visit the small church and resume the trail towards Malemaseria, finishing the hike at Zomeais.
Along the trail, the Via Crucis of the Holy Cross was created along the path, approximately 500 meters long, starting from the small church of Sella, with the 12 stations placed on wooden supports: each station, assigned to an artist from Friuli, Veneto, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, and Germany, donated free of charge and made in colored ceramic bas-relief.
