    The Valle Musi nature trail is a route suitable for a wide range of users, with a positive elevation gain of about 450 m round trip, which in about four hours of pleasant walking takes you from the Simaz locality up to the Pian dei Ciclamini refuge. Small woods, meadows with wonderful blooms, torrent beds, and broom grasslands alternate frequently along the ancient trail that once connected the huts and pastures along the Mea stream valley. Following the illustrative panels placed along the route, you can easily discover its main characteristics.

    Directions

    From Tarcento, follow the SR646 towards Musi/Uccea until you reach the junction for Musi. Turn left on the bridge following the Musi sign, which is reached after about 1 km. Near the village, take two right turns passing the Musi church and continuing until reaching the Borgo Simaz hamlet where the road ends.

    From Resia, follow the signs for Sella Carnizza and continue until Uccea, crossing the SR646. At this point, turn right and continue for a few kilometers to the junction for Musi. Turn right on the bridge and reach the village after about 1 km. Near the village, take two right turns passing the Musi church and continuing until arriving at the Borgo Simaz hamlet where the road ends.

    NOTE: The Uccea-Sella Carnizza road is often undergoing safety work. Before following these directions, check if it is open.

    Parking

    Some free and unattended parking is available at Borgo Simaz.
