The route, which begins in the Cimoliana Valley, reaches the alpine meadows of Mount Lodina and the aerial ridge of the Centenere Peaks, and then descends into the Zemola Valley.
From the parking lot at Ponte Compol, which can be reached from Cimolais by following the Val Cimoliana road, take the path that climbs through the Lodina forest until you reach the pasture and the Casera (shelter) of the same name. From the latter, continue up the pasture and, past the ruins of another casera (Bergon), you reach Forcella Lodina. From here the path goes into the wide valley of karst origin of the Busa dei Vediei, characterized by the presence of bumps, dolines and widespread sinkholes. Once past this wide plateau, the trail begins to climb and reach the ridge of the Cime Centenere, traverses a part of it (mountaineering difficulties) and then descends slightly to reach the Forcella del Duranno, located at the foot of the peak of the same name, characteristic for its imposing pyramidal shape. The route then continues by descending the opposite slope, initially over articulated rocks (mountaineering difficulty) to their base, from which it continues by track over scree first and along a scrub of mountain pine then, until reaching Rifugio Maniago. From the Refuge, follow the trail, which passes through the characteristic woods of the Zemola Valley, to reach the valley floor and the Casera Mela Refuge (parking lot).
