This itinerary is aimed at hikers curious to get to know the thousands of naturalistic aspects of this corner of the Carnic mountains. The route, with dedicated signs and tables, initially develops on the wooded northern slopes of the Tinisa group, reaching the solitary mountain pasture of Casera Tintina. From the meadows in front of the building, the path climbs steeply towards the northern walls, taking advantage of a small equipped ledge to gain the meadows of the steep southern slope near a modest fork.

The route alternates between meadows and easy ridges, reaching the Punta dell'Uccel and descending to the forca di Montof with another short equipped passage.

From the scenic fork, the route descends to the long wooded ridge of M. Cavallo di Cervia, where huge specimens of fir and larch accompany hikers. Descending steeply to the Tintina stream, we continue through sparse woodland, returning once again to the pastureland of the casera and thus closing the loop.

    Author’s recommendation

The ascent from Tintina to the fork is reserved for experienced hikers due to the very exposed section before the fork.

    Directions
