Loop route ideal for families looking for an accessible walk where they can enjoy a nice day near Bordano.
Near the Casa delle Farfalle di Bordano, following the signs for the Bordano ponds, you enter the paved road leading to the Sports Field. After the first stretch, you reach a meadow used as a landing point for paragliding/tandem. The route continues on a dirt road marked by signs that crosses the meadow and goes into the small wood. The landscape is framed by Monte San Simeone and the mountains overlooking Gemona, Monte Chiampon, and Monte Cuarnan. After a short stretch in the woods, you reach the pond, an artificial basin fed by the Tagliamento river.
The path continues along the natural embankment of the Tagliamento river visible to the right of the lake. The trail re-enters the wood to then return close to the aforementioned meadow.
Picnic areas with benches and tables are available. During the route near the wooden sculpture depicting a bear, there is a drinking water fountain.
