From the Rifugio Tolazzi return to the junction with the forest road to Rifugio Lambertenghi-Romanin and continue straight ahead, following uphill either the road or the CAI 143 trail that cuts the switchbacks, leading to Forcella Morareet and Rifugio Marinelli. Descend from the opposite side of the saddle following the CAI 148 trail along the road that passes near Casera Plotta. Upon reaching a junction, take a right on the road (CAI 175 trail) that leads to Casera Collina grande at 1522 m. From the hut, continue on the CAI 175 trail which goes at altitude into Val Chiaula, crosses the Rio Chiaula, and leads to the ruins of Casera Chiaula bassa at 1397 m. Continuing along CAI 175, ascend to the remains of Casera Chiaula alta at 1548 m where, leaving the CAI 175 trail, take a left along a track and then the subsequent dirt road leading to Agriturismo Malga Lavareit at 1470 m.
