Simple hike in Attimis in the Valli del Torre. Route that reaches from the village of Faris (Attimis) the majestic Castello di Partistagno with a panoramic view over the village.
Simple hike on a forest road, starting from Borgo Faris (Attimis) and climbing up to the Castello di Partistagno. From the village of Faris the castle can be seen rising in the woods.
You reach the Agriturismo "Ai Faris" and after passing the place you ascend towards the Monastery of the Clarisse Sacramentine. After a series of hairpin bends on an asphalt road, you reach the parking lot where it is possible to leave the car. Then continue on the road that climbs and enters the forest. The route does not have any changes of road until the clearing below the castle.
The medieval complex appears imposing: it is possible to learn about the history and the remains through various explanatory panels placed outside the buildings. In addition to the central nucleus, there is also the tower and the little church of Sant'Osvaldo.
You return on the same route or it is possible to take the path following the indication from the square below which descends in the opposite direction and reaches the Borgo Faris, closing the route in a loop.
It is possible to visit the Castle, check the website Museo Attimis for opening hours and guided tours.

The Castello di Partistagno is a medieval complex of late Gothic and early medieval origins, probably founded in the 11th century by the noble Bavarian family of Moosburg. The fortified settlement consists of an older nucleus located on the summit portion of the relief, where the keep tower, the discovery of the lordly Domus, and the church of Sant'Osvaldo with the frescoed apse and typical mullioned windows can be seen.
