Challenging loop route on the mountain of the people of Tolmezzo. The trail develops within the geosite of Rivoli Bianchi with a view over the lower Carnia.
Route reserved for well-trained people. The trail crosses in the first part the Rivoli Bianchi scree slopes, a debris cone of M. Amariana which constitutes a geosite of supranational interest. The ascent takes place directly on the Troi di Cjadin with very steep sections among pine woods and rocks. Reaching the summit at altitude 1084m, the view stretches from the Tolmezzo basin and lower Carnia to the walls of M. Amariana, the bigger sister of Amarianute.
The return is along the Troi di Martin, which initially continues very steeply along the mountain slope.
Reaching a beautiful panoramic spot with a bench, you proceed descending with tight switchbacks towards the mountain base, from which you return to the starting point along a series of evident paths mostly along the contour, passing numerous patches of small pines.
Route not recommended during hot summer weather.
Derived from the technical difficulty and the stamina requirements.
