Malghe di Porzus and Topli Uorch - Faedis

A path that moves along the line between nature and history, first crossing the Pian delle Farcadizze with its meadows and groves and then climbing up the ridge of Monte Topli Uorch. The location of the Topli Uorch huts (now universally known as "Malghe di Porzus") became sadly famous for the massacre among partisan troops that took place in 1945. The huts later became a national monument to remember this tragic event (explanatory panels on site). But nature is also noteworthy in this area, the forest covering the ridge is lush and the vegetation environments very varied. Geologically, alternating outcrops of flysch and carbonate beds can be observed.
