Simple circular route that, through three viewpoints, allows you to get acquainted with the surroundings of Lake Barcis.
Facing the Visitor Center of the Forra del Cellina Nature Reserve, take the lakeside road on the right up to the curve where trail marker 997 turns uphill. From here, follow the trail: pass the Rain Well; reach the first viewpoint (450 m) overlooking Lake Barcis and the Ponte Antoi dam; then the second viewpoint (440 m) over the final part of the Cellina gorge; finally the third viewpoint (521 m), a red spiral staircase offering a beautiful view of Lake Barcis and one of the village of Andreis. From the third viewpoint, continue on the trail for a counterintuitive descent toward the east. The white-red markers lead us to a fork, where we take the left. After a stretch of trail, a pleasant paved road leads us to Forcella Dint (462 m) and then to Lake Barcis and the parking lot (you can take the first shortcut, but not the second - Fishermen's Trail).
We recommend organizing the day to also include a visit/walk on the Old Road of Valcellina (the access point is the same as where this route starts).
The route can be shortened in various ways, but we recommend doing it in its entirety.
