Ring route leading to Casera Palatina, along the Gerometta path up to Baita Arneri. A must-see during the summer blooms that turn the landscape into a splendid garden while enjoying the view of Alpago and the Dolomites.

Start at the PromoTurismoFVG Infopoint. Turn right onto Via Barcis until you reach Hotel 1301 Inn. Near the hotel, take the service road running along the soccer fields and continue to Casera Capovilla. Take the CAI 924 path and proceed left to the fork, climbing through the beech forest. On either side of the trail, you can spot a couple of large old charcoal pits. Higher up, the forest opens up to meadows and wide views of Piancavallo and the Veneto-Friuli plain. You reach the fork with Gerometta path CAI 993. From here, along gentle ups and downs, you arrive at Baita Arneri. From early June to late August, the numerous blooms transform the mountain into a lush garden.

To the right of Baita Arneri, take the CAI 918 path that climbs alongside the Tremol 2 ski slope. Upon seeing the mountain station, turn left crossing the slope carefully following the signs. Follow the trail along the Val dei Sass up to Forcella Palantina. Just before the pass, a variant leads to a viewpoint with a splendid view of Alpago and the Dolomites. A steep but short descent brings you to Casera Palantina before rejoining CAI 993 through a mixed forest of imposing beeches and firs.

For a good stretch, gradients remain moderate before climbing again via a short but strenuous ascent. Stay on CAI 993 up to Baita Arneri, passing the fork with CAI 984 and then the one with CAI 992 – Col Cornier. From here, you can descend via a path below the Tremol 1 chairlift or, during lift opening periods, use the chairlift.

    Return to Piazzale della Puppa.
