The proposed route develops on the mountains just above the village of Povici and allows you to observe some of the most suggestive landscapes of the Julian Prealps Natural Park.

Point of interest of the route is Borgo Cros, a small group of houses inhabited until the 1970s when the 1976 earthquake forced its abandonment. Today it is still well preserved in its original architecture thanks to restoration work and in the landscape features dominated by wide meadows.

The unusual views of the surrounding mountains, the suggestive glimpses of the streams, the shapes carved by the water on the rocks, and the high biodiversity of the territory will satisfy even those looking for nature.

    Author’s recommendation

If you travel the route in summer, it’s impossible not to stop for a swim in the fresh and clear waters of the Resia and Serai streams.
