Ascent to the Francescutto Shelter

The route starts near the hotel La Stube, in the locality of Cella di Forni di Sopra (875 m). We take via Tintai and at the second junction, on the left, via Sorapiera; then via Plan dal Moru and via Tiviei. We thus arrive near the last house, where we take on the right the mule track that goes into the forest (path 210). Shortly before it ends, we take on the left the ascending path that leads us, after 110 meters of elevation gain, to the new farm road granting access to the mountain huts (little shrine "Madonna del Clapus"). We continue ascending until the locality of Fienili Duns, where from the farm road branches off an ascending path which we follow until we exit the forest near Malga Montemaggiore (Mamaiou, 1729 m). A trail in the meadow, to the right, leads us shortly to the beautiful Ricovero Francescutto (1748 m), half open and uncovered. Return downhill by the ascent route.
