Pleasant circular route in Claut to discover a casera located in an enviable position, starting from the beautiful Rifugio Pussa and returning via a comfortable forest road through the woods.
Facing the Rifugio Pussa, we take trail 364 which, on the right, climbs along the slope behind it.
We gain elevation through the forest until the junction, where we go down to the left (trail marker 366a) to cross the Stuèt stream. On the opposite bank, the trail climbs to the junction for the Fageron de Stuet, where we turn left and begin to climb higher. We reach the deep cut of the Ciol de Tome, cross it, and start the most challenging part of the route: the trail climbs very steeply through the forest for about a hundred meters of elevation gain. The path then becomes high and runs suspended on the wooded slope (be careful as it is quite narrow in some points).
Suddenly, the very green and elongated basin opens up at the end of which stands Casera Col de Post (1249 m). With our backs to the casera, in front of us there are some wooden poles painted white and red: at the end, the start of the descent trail.
We follow the beautiful mule track descending without ever deviating until the road of Val Settimana, which we take to the left to reach the Rifugio Pussa.
