Arrival in Collio - Visit Villa Russiz
Arrival during the day in Collio and accommodation at the CASTELLO DI SPESSA GOLF WINE RESORT & SPA (rooms are available from 2:00 PM).
The elegant resort is situated in a panoramic position among the gentle hills of Collio, surrounded by a vast park, well-maintained gardens, and an 18-hole golf course. Guests have access to a bistro inside the Castle for a quick snack, a Gourmet restaurant at the Tavernetta at the foot of the Castle, and the Hosteria for a quick lunch near the golf course. The offer is completed by the Summer Club with a hot tub and outdoor pool offering a magnificent view of the hills, a Finnish sauna, and the new Vinum Spa, 2,000 square meters of wellness where guests can relax and enjoy treatments that utilize the beneficial properties of grapes and their derivatives.
In the afternoon, visit to the Tenuta of the Villa Russiz Foundation, which extends over 45 hectares of DOC Collio vineyards, nestled between soft hills and steep terraces. The vines are planted in privileged locations, as identified by the founder Theodor de La Tour. Today, through the patient and meticulous work of Villa Russiz’s oenologists and winemakers, there is a balanced approach between preserving and enhancing the excellence of each individual variety. At the end, a Deluxe Tasting with samples of some of the estate’s most representative wines, including excellent and pleasant white wines, accompanied by a platter of typical local products.

In the morning, departure for GORIZIA,
a city located in the northeast of Italy, in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, on the border with Slovenia. The city has a complex and fascinating history, influenced by its border location and the historical events that have shaped it. European Capital of Culture 2025, together with Nova Gorica in Slovenia, and a private guided tour of the historic center, dominated by the imposing Castle.
In the afternoon, VISIT to the medieval aging cellar of Castello di Spessa with a TASTING of 3 DOC wines accompanied by snacks.

Trieste and Miramare castle
Departure for Miramare Castle, built by Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Habsburg in 1856, situated on a promontory overlooking the Gulf of Trieste and surrounded by a magnificent botanical park. Audio-guided tour of the Castle and free time for a walk in the Park.
Lunch at a seafood restaurant.
In the afternoon, free time in TRIESTE, a beautiful border city: Piazza Unità d’Italia, known as the “living room of Trieste,” surrounded by palaces and facing the sea, Piazza della Borsa, the Borgo Teresiano, and the Cathedral of San Giusto.

CORMONS, tasting at the Enoteca - Farewell to COLLIO
Morning at leisure.
Around 11:30 AM, arrival at the prestigious ENOTECA of Cormons, where the love for wine and the region is reflected in the high quality of the wines offered, starting with the excellent whites of Collio. TASTING of 3 wines with a guided experience, accompanied by cheeses and cold cuts from Friuli Venezia Giulia.
